Spent time organizing and filling in some of the new Design Details section of documentation.
Ordered Wabbits with/FB to replace Wabbits w/o. The new boards that control the switches are 'needed' to return switch status to the Laptop in a reliable, usable way. See 20 Oct - 1 Nov for analysis.
Designed circuit and ordered parts for four small boards to control the 12vdc dwarf signals for the parking lot. The raspberry Pi GPIO pins are 3v3dc low current. The LEDs are 12 volts, ~20ma. the boards will use a PVT312 Photovoltaic Relay to control each of the three lights on a dwarf signal. This will isolate the 12v from the raspberry PI GPIO pin. The boards also include current limiting resistors and connectors.
Had two thoughts for new functions that fall under 'Because I can.' Checking there are just enough GPIO pins to implement these:
Add traffic monitor LEDs to the Raspberry Pi processors. There are 4 processors, therefore 3 interfaces between them to monitor: Arduino Base Station (2) :: Raspberry Pi (3), Raspberry Pi (3) :: Raspberry Pi (3A), and Raspberry Pi (3A) :: Laptop (4).
Raspberry Pi (3A) monitor traffic to/from the Lap Top (4)
Raspberry Pi (3) monitor traffic to/from both the Arduino/Base Station (2) and the other Raspberry Pi (3A).
Add a small display and randomized route selector to Raspberry Pi (3A). Include a push button to stop the random process displaying the selected routes.
